Meet Helen Ramsden

Hi there, Helen here. Welcome to Quest For Peace.

The mind and body are deeply intertwined. A healthy mind makes for a healthy body, and a healthy body makes for a healthy mind. For over twenty years, I have strived to understand this connection to help both myself and others become the best version of themselves.

Everybody is unique, and as such, there is not a ‘one size fits all’ approach to mental and physical wellbeing. Over the years, I have trained and practiced in multiple wellbeing modalities, including Meditation, Mindfulness Coaching, Qigong / Mindful Movement, Reiki, Sound and Voice Healing through the British Academy of Sound, and become a Certified Heal Your Life Coach through Louise L. Hay.

At Quest For Peace, I combine my experience in each of these areas to create a holistic approach to mental wellbeing that is personalised for each client. Whether you are 15 or 50 (or beyond!), I’m passionate about helping people release the control that stress, anxiety, depression and disease has over their thoughts. By becoming the best version of yourself, you free yourself from the fear of failure and the fear of success, refrain from judging yourself and others, stop procrastinating and drop the negative self-talk. You learn how to work to your strengths, recognising and accepting that you can be anything, but you can’t be everything.

Through one-on-one sessions, workshops, retreats and courses, I strive to raise awareness and educate people about these life changing techniques to prosper a happier, healthier and more positive outlook on their daily world. The greatest reward is seeing the positive change in my clients and that extra bounce in their step, as they feel lighter, freer and more motivated in their day-to-day lives.

It’s not just me shouting from the rooftops about the positives of mental wellbeing and the connection between mind and body; its science too! For example, women who took part in a mind and body program for stress reduction while undergoing IVF treatment reported a significantly higher pregnancy rate than those who did not participate (52% vs 20%) (Domar et al., Fertility and Sterility 2011). And there’s plenty more research where that came from!
